This year's Troubadour Festival takes place at the beautiful Meridian Place Amphitheatre, located in downtown Barrie, ON, with Kempenfelt Bay as a stunning backdrop, a truly wonderful setting for an open-air concert. In 2022 the festival will feature Canada’s best party band, Dwayne Gretzky, on Friday night and the reigning couple of Celtic fiddle, Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, on Saturday night. In addition, fans will be treated to performances by R&B singer Dylan Sinclair, fun Beatles tribute band The Shitty Beatles, soul songstress Lydia Persaud, power pop band PONY, and R&B/neo-soul band Sunshine Makers.
This year the festival will be featuring an Artisan Village on the grounds, curated by The Sonder Market, with various vendors offering their wares. The Sonder Market is all about music, arts, crafts, and connection with the community. Also, Muskoka Brewery is partnering with the festival to present the Troubadour Bar. Located near Dunlop Street the bar will offer various cold Muskoka Brewery beverages. Fresh sandwiches from Homestead Artisan Bakery and yummy gourmet pizza from Jimmy Chews will be available inside the festival gates.
